Jim has over 22 years of sales and marketing experience mostly in the cable television advertising industry where he created and sold both traditional and online media campaigns. Jim likes to step up with solutions to any marketing or advertising roadblocks any business may be experiencing and show you more effective ways to generate return-on-investment from your marketing budget. He realizes most businesses and business owners are busy and they don't have time to keep up on the trends or know what is "true" and what is myth, especially when it comes to interactive and digital marekting like SEO, PPC, Social Media and the rest. Jim has seen several strategies over the years, as well as having heard every opinion on what works - and would love to lend his experience to your business and help you take it to another level.
Growing up in Niles, Michigan, Jim was the last of eight kids. His Dad ran several independent businesses growing up, including a real estate office and a successful TV and Appliance store, which his oldest brother runs to this day. Jim found his way to Michigan State University where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Telecommunications , as he fancied television commercials and advertising in general. He landed a job in advertising after graduation and never looked back. He has enjoyed several positions while staying in the Midwest but when in arrived in Grand Rapids, he fell in love with the city and his wife Tami.
He has worn many hats in his career, including generating both internal and external marketing programs and promotions from scratch (and often with no budget - sound familiar?), helping expand a cable company into several new markets, producing countless video commercials, promotional spots, and even an infomercial or two. He has worked with all sizes of businesses, with their main goal usually being getting customers through the door.
Jim's wife Tami is an elementary teacher in Grandville, and they are raising three daughters there are well. In his spare time, when he is not watching his girls play Soccer, Jim produces comedy, music, and entertainment videos, that all air online. He also plays bass guitar around town in a band, and writes and composes music (which his wife does not enjoy). All of his hobbies left little time for golf. He will play, but it is more about fun than the score.
