WEB DEVELOPER TEAM LEAD

Bevelwise has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated, senior web programmer that can lead our team of development staff and someone who wants to grow with us. This person would be responsible for leading 2-3 developer team designing, implementing, and maintaining websites, working with clients, managing web servers and web-based applications written with PHP or Asp.Net. You will have broad responsibilities for overall Web Development management, including interacting with clients, project planning, site mapping, design, execution, maintenance and updates for your team. The position requires a person who is versatile, well organized and has in-depth experience creating, building and maintaining dynamic Web sites. We seek a developer who is well-versed in web technology and is familiar with social media and mobile trends. We are a company that rewards people who have high integrity and a strong work ethic.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be deadline driven and have the ability to motivate others to be as well
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle customer interaction and questions
• Ability to quote the time and work needed for projects for your team
• Work with client service team members to help define objectives
• Conceptualize, plan, architect and map Web sites and web applications
• Interface with programmers and back-end databases
• Manage overall Web development projects
• Stays on top of new and emerging Web trends and technologies
• Implement designs into CMS themes following standards & best practices
• Code, test, and debug software components and applications
• Maintain software components and applications
• Field support calls for website updates, software applications, email questions from clients
• Other programming and maintenance duties as required
• Must be motivated and enjoy challenges as well as have good teamwork skills

• Have a sense of humor and enjoy working with people and clients as much as code

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Familiar with Content Management Systems such as Word Press, Joomla, Drupal, Expression Engine, or others are a plus
• Familiar with e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, Volusion or others are desired
• Deep Understanding of web usability, software design, development techniques and web standards
• Knowledge of structured and object-oriented design, coding, and development
• Knowledgeable in database and internet technologies
• Understanding of Search Engine Optimization and Methods a Plus
• Thorough knowledge of XHTML, CSS and Javascript
• Experience with JQuery, PHP and MVC-based frameworks
• Working knowledge of content management systems
• Familiar with SQL databases such as MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server
• Well organized and high attention to detail
• Passionate about your work
• Articulate in presenting and selling your ideas
• College educated and/or certification in Web/interactive field

DESIRED PROGRAMMING SKILLS

• Development in various languages and platforms including
o PHP or other server-side scripting languages
o C# or VB.Net
o Javascript and frameworks like jQuery
o CSS, HTML
o Macromedia Flash, Action Script would be beneficial
• Tools and techniques of relational databases
o Microsoft SQL Server and/or mySQL
o TSQL (Structured Query Language) and Stored Procedures
• Basic understanding web server administration
o Understanding of Microsoft IIS and/or Apache
o Familiarity with AJAX

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 7 years experience in web-based application and website/database development situation
• Prior management experience a plus
• A College Degree preferred
• Experience working in an environment with multiple projects at the same time is a plus
• Experience with handling customer support and questions

COMPENSATION

Salary is commensurate with experience but targeted $68k-$72k range with possible annual bonus. Benefits available for full time employees include Health, Dental, Vision.
