Justin spent his early years growing up on the small family dairy farm north of Grand Rapids. During the early years of high school (and because there is only so much one can do on a farm out in the boonies) he found an interest in programming which led him to build a mini game in VB6 as just a teenager. After "retiring" from dairy farming, he decided to attend Ferris State University in the Digital Animation and Game Design Program.
He has spent his entire professional life working as both a web developer and a software engineer working with small web studios and large engineering firms. He has been involved with projects from managing and developing small mom and pop websites to testing embedded software on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Being someone who began doing this on their own, he is self-taught and also formally trained in many different programming languages.
He is driven to know just as much he can about computers, the Internet, and programming and his method to teach others is that more of a tutor then to someone who just spews out a bunch of technical info. There is a constant passion for learning the business end of companies and constantly evolving his skills and leadership abilities.
For fun, he and his wife have a small hobby farm (can you say "un-retired") up by the old homestead and during his time off, you can find him outside regardless of the season or tempreature splitting wood, clearing a little area for an orchard or putting some sweat equity into the old farm house.
